I earned a Master of Science in Instructional and Performance Technology from Boise State University, studying human performance improvement, instructional design, and adult learning theory. I completed a ABET-accredited Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Rowan University (summa cum laude), focusing my studies on artificial intelligence and computing theory.
I also have certificates in Training & Development, Strategic Human Resources, Human Performance Technology, Online Teaching & Learning, and MOOC Design. I've completed a program in Social Sector (non-profit) Leadership from the Berkeley-Haas school.
I'm a big believer in lifelong learning and that skills and knowledge grow (and evolve) over the course of one's life.
- I've recently completed a program of MBA coursework using massively-open online courses (MOOCs), based on the "No-Pay MBA" concept. This includes classes from top universities in both traditional and highly-customized areas of business education. See my NPMBA Portfolio page.
- Ongoing instructional continuing education: Gamification (Wharton, 2013), Training and Learning Programs for Volunteer Community Health Workers (Johns Hopkins, 2013), Instructional Methods in Health Professions Education (UMich Med School, 2013), Introduction to Data Wise (HarvardX, 2016), Leaders of Learning (HarvardX, 2016), Design & Delivery of Educational Technology (MITx, 2016), Design and Development of Games for Learning (MITx, 2016), Introduction to Game Design (MITx, 2016), The Science of Learning (Columbia, 2017), Emerging Trends and Technologies in the Virtual K-12 Classroom (UC Irvine, 2018),
